SOM Foundation Fellows Reception | San Francisco 2023
On Wednesday, June 7, the SOM Foundation organized a fellows reception in San Francisco coinciding with the AIA Conference on Architecture 2023.

Coinciding with the AIA Conference on Architecture 2023 in San Francisco, the SOM Foundation organized a fellows reception. The event included current and past fellows as well as representatives of academic institutions, practitioners, and city leaders. Welcomed by Leo Chow, SOM Foundation cochair, and Iker Gil, SOM Foundation Executive Director, some of the SOM Foundation fellows present at the event included Samantha Eng, Jason Frantzen, James Leng, Lydia Moog, Julianna Pecskes Phillips, Alex Ogata, Andrew Saunders, and Max Wong. They were joined by Craig W. Hartman, SOM Foundation chair between 1995 and 2002. Other guests included Helen Maria Nugent, Dean of Design at the California College of the Arts; Keith Krumwiede, Dean of Architecture at the California College of the Arts; Christine Theodoropoulos, Dean of Cal Poly's College of Architecture and Environmental Design (CAED); Thomas Fowler, Director of the Architecture Graduate Program at Cal Poly; and Laurence Kornfield, former chief building inspector and deputy director of the department of building inspection in San Francisco.
