Margot Alofsin
Yale University
was born in Memphis, Tennessee. She studied at the Emma Willard School, University of Oregon, and Southern California Institute of Architects. After receiving an M. Arch. degree from Yale University in 1982, she practiced architecture in Los Angeles and Santa Monica. She also chaired the Santa Monica Landmarks Commission. A talented and award-winning designer, Alofsin’s work extended from skyscrapers to place settings and was widely published. Margot Alofsin died in 2008.
