To understand how the clean, simple, serene lines of the natural world find their way toward the interior of the Asian architecture (ancient and new) and these interiors in turn make their way back to the natural world. Furthermore, to determine how both, nature and interior, appear to be composed of relatively simplistic systems of layers from afar, but up close, really are interwoven and complex sytems with order that make the whole.
I start in Tokyo and move south to Hiroshima. Then on Westward to Beijing. From there I move south again toward Hong Kong. Next it is towards Southern Vietnam and west to explore Southern Thailand. Finally, my journey ends up in Malaysia and Singapore. A ten-week journey that focused mainly on the ancient and traditional Asian architectural interiors.
