Mehrnoosh Khadivi

is a British artist, designer, and educator. She trained as an architect and has been a visiting lecturer at the Royal College of Art for the last four years. Her work is a synthesis of diverse practices, combining conceptual exploration with immersive, sensory experiences that encompass architecture, performance, scent, and installation. Her artistic practice draws deeply on reinterpreting archival and scientific knowledge through an olfactory lens while challenging the traditional hierarchies of sensory engagement and understanding, advocating for a broader appreciation extending beyond the visual. Khadivi creates environments where scent intertwines with spaces and performance, fostering reflections on the intricate relationships between ecological, cultural and human systems. Through her work she strives to forge profound, visceral connections with ideas and with realms beyond our immediate perception. Her work is underpinned by the same principles: the value of rigorous research, collaborative process, craftsmanship, and the importance of intelligent thinking.
