I recall the memories of games I played and the places I played in as a child; the splendor of my own world enlivened by the games of the imagination. This is what my work is about—the creation of a place for ritual.
As architects we rely on our perception to transform ideas into realities. Structure, space, context, history, light, and program are integrated in sequence to form a place. A place where individual experiences are layered to impress upon us a sense of the whole.
The central theme of my study is the sequence of great works of architecture in relation to ritual, culture, history, period, structure, and space. I will devote time to documenting the important factors in each building.
