Since 1981, when its award programming was established, the SOM Foundation has awarded more than $3.3 million to support research and emerging professionals making a difference in the built environment. The SOM Foundation currently offers six annual awards exploring critical issues of our time. Your donation will sustain and strengthen the academic development of students and faculty of architecture, landscape architecture, interior architecture, urban design, and engineering who undertake rigorous interdisciplinary research. Your contribution will also help support public events presented throughout the year.

Donations to the SOM Foundation, a nonprofit organization, are tax-deductible to the extent of the law.

Online Contribution

The SOM Foundation accepts one-time or recurring donations online. Donations support undergraduate and graduate students as well as faculty-led academic units developing meaningful research that address the issues defined on an annual basis.

The SOM Foundation accepts donations of any amount by check. Please make checks payable to the SOM Foundation and mail it to our office at 224 South Michigan Avenue, Suite 1000, Chicago, IL 60604. Send checks to the attention of Catherine Boulazeris.

Stock Transfer
