On Wednesday, June 5, the SOM Foundation organized a fellows reception in Washington, DC coinciding with the AIA Conference on Architecture 2024.

Coinciding with the AIA Conference on Architecture 2024 in Washington, DC, the SOM Foundation organized a fellows reception. The event included current and past fellows as well as representatives of academic institutions, practitioners, and city leaders. Welcomed by Laura Ettelman, SOM Foundation treasurer, some of the SOM Foundation fellows present at the event included Annie Chu, Benay Gürsoy, Alex Krieger, Tim Love, Marilyn Moedinger, Lydia Moog, and Audrey Ryan. Other guests included Aki Ishida, Director of the College of Architecture and Graduate School of Architecture & Urban Design in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis; Mark Ferguson, Dean of the School of Architecture and Planning at The Catholic University of America; Marci Reed, Executive Director of the Architects Foundation; and Danei Cesario, former mentor of the SOM Foundation Robert L. Wesley Award.
